What the Leading Marketing Experts Say About Blogging – Are You Still On the Fence?

As you may have noticed, I have a blog instead of a website.  When I decided to market myself on the Internet as an orthodontic marketing coach, after extensive research and training, I felt my best option was a blog vs a website to get the word out.  It has served me well.  In fact much better than if I have opted to start with a traditional website.  I have orthodontists and professionals from all over the world reading my content.

It was two years ago this month my blog went live  and I published my orthodontic marketing e-Guide!  It is an exciting time for me with many new products and ideas coming in the future.  Not only is it exciting because I have come so far in such a short period of time, but because the interest in my field of expertise is building momentum every day.  Rarely does a day go by that I don’t receive a new contact on my blog, email, or phone call regarding my services.

What does this tell you?  More and more professionals are looking for new ways to build their practice and slowly but surely they are looking for answers on how to market correctly on the Internet.  It also means you have to pay more attention to what is going on around you on the Internet with your competition.  You can’t rest on your laurels and let your competitors pass you by anymore.  A savvy Internet marketer stays one step ahead.

For those of you who are on the fence about blogging,  here is what two of the leading marketing experts today have to say about blogging.

Obviously I agree with everything they say. The only tidbit I would like to add about blogging is this… Your blog is only as good as the consumers who can find it in your local area. It your blog isn’t search engine optimized correctly, it might as well be invisible, just like a website that is not coded correctly in your local demographic. If you have a blog… test it. Make sure it shows up correctly in your local demographic with the top patient keywords in orthodontics or dentistry. The reason you blog in any business is for more exposure. There is not better way to build relationships and attract new patients than with a blog.  The same way I attract new clients who are interested in marketing correctly on the Internet.

Thanks to all my readers for your kind words and support over the past two years. Spread the word to all your friends and look for me at the PCSO in Phoenix and as a speaker at Ortho II and Dolphin Users meeting in the Spring. Internet marketing is here to stay and my goal is to make sure you all understand the different pieces of the puzzle and how it fits together…
